Does this fit the master Plan?
The Township has this "Ten-Year Plan" dated 9/3/21 on their website currently, linked above, and shown in the colorful image on this page. My site is outlined in Red on this screenshot. Its nestled in a very large portion of land The Township (currently) desires to be used as "Rural Settlement". But what is Rural Settlement?
Rural Settlement:
The Township defines Rural Settlement as:
" ** The Rural Settlement planning area may have any of the uses listed. Approval for other than the current zoning classification of the land must be through the planned development process as outlined in the Bethel Township Zoning Resolution. "
Our I-1 rezoning perfectly conforms to The Township's current Master Plan for this area. Within a stone's throw, there is the Iron Workers Industrial Building and two other facilities for Concrete contractors, who also plow snow and store equipment at their facilities.
The precedent has been set, and our desired land use agrees with The Township's Master Plan goal. All that is needed is for our Trustee's to vote yes to allow this rezoning.
